Frequently asked questions

Is the download an Excel file or CSV?

A CSV (comma-separated values) file is generated, which Excel, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice Calc open without issue. You can save it as .xlsx from your spreadsheet app if you prefer.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

No. It only extracts data from PDFs with selectable text and recognizable table structure. Scanned PDFs are images and require OCR to get editable data.

Why doesn't the preview match my PDF exactly?

The tool detects rows and columns by text position. Very complex layouts, merged cells, or irregular tables may need manual adjustments after importing the CSV.
